Subprocessors

This page lists infrastructure providers Margain uses to run the product, and separately lists optional platforms organizations may connect. Connected platforms are not the same category as Margain's infrastructure subprocessors.

These vendors help Margain host, store, process, email, monitor, and bill for the service.

Connected services

Organizations may connect the platforms below. When connected, those platforms process data under their own terms. For Shopify, Meta, and Google, connection uses OAuth and the merchant typically remains the controller of their store, ads, or spreadsheet data. For WooCommerce, connection uses WooCommerce Application Authentication or merchant-provided REST API Consumer Key and Secret. For Stripe, the organization connects its own Stripe account with a merchant-provided secret key. Margain processes a copy of connected data as needed to provide the product.

  Shopify Admin and webhook APIs when an organization connects a shop

• WooCommerce

  WooCommerce store connection via Application Authentication (/wc-auth/v1/authorize, read scope) or merchant-provided REST Consumer Key/Secret. Syncs products, orders, and customers with automated live-update webhooks. On disconnect, credentials and Margain webhooks are cleared, with the option to retain or permanently purge store-specific data. No Marketplace app.

  Optional Google sign-in and Google Sheets connector when connected by an organization

• Stripe

  Finance connector: organizations connect their own Stripe account with a merchant-provided secret key (BYOK). Margain syncs balance transactions (charges, payouts, refunds, fees) for financial reporting.
