This page explains how Margain supports access and deletion requests for people and organizations using the product. It describes current product processes. It is not legal advice and is not a certification.
Access and export
Organization owners and admins can download a JSON export of core records from Settings → Privacy & data or Organization settings. Exports are capped at 2,000 rows per record type. For larger requests, email support@margain.app.
Erasure
You can delete your own user account from Security settings unless you are the sole owner of an active organization. Deleting a user account removes your login and profile. It does not delete the organization or its workspace data.
Organization deletion is requested through support. When an organization is deleted, connected service credentials are removed and syncing stops. After a configured grace period (default 7 days), Margain hard-deletes workspace business data. Billing records tied to that organization may remain on the organization tombstone. Contact privacy@margain.app or support@margain.app to request accelerated workspace purge after soft-deletion.
When Shopify sends customer or shop deletion requests, Margain processes them as described on the Shopify data deletion page (including hard deletion of shop commerce data on shop deletion). When Meta sends a data-deletion request for a Facebook user, Margain disconnects Meta for that user and removes campaign and spend records synced through those Meta connections. WooCommerce has no provider deletion callback suite; instead, Margain provides direct self-service data erasure at disconnect time. When disconnecting WooCommerce (or Shopify), merchants can choose to immediately and permanently purge store-specific orders, inventory levels, and exclusive catalog items without needing an organization-wide wipe. Disconnecting WooCommerce also automatically cleans up Margain-managed webhooks from the store.
