Shopify privacy

When a merchant connects Shopify to Margain (https://margain.app), Margain reads products, orders, customers, and related commerce data using the permissions granted at install. Connection credentials are encrypted at rest.

Purpose

Margain uses this data to operate the merchant's workspace, including commerce overviews, imports, briefings, and related product features.

Customer personal data

Customer email, name, and phone may be stored when they appear on Shopify customers or orders. Shopify customer and shop deletion requests are handled as described on Shopify data deletion.

Disconnecting Shopify

Disconnecting Shopify removes the stored credentials and stops future syncing. Commerce data already imported into your Margain workspace (products, orders, customers) is not automatically deleted when the connection ends.
