Terms of Service

Margain · privacy@margain.app
These Terms of Service govern your use of Margain at https://margain.app. Margain is currently offered as a beta product. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Accounts and organizations
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account and organization. Organization owners control billing, invites, and membership. If you are the sole owner of an active organization, transfer ownership before deleting your user account.
Trials and billing
Margain may offer trial and paid plans with entitlements enforced in the product. For paid subscriptions, Paddle acts as the merchant of record for payments. That means Paddle processes the payment, and Paddle's checkout terms and buyer policies also apply to tax, invoicing, and payment-related refunds for that purchase. Billing records may be retained after account or organization deletion where needed for accounting or legal obligations.
Cancellation and refunds
You can stop using Margain at any time by canceling through the billing portal or by contacting support@margain.app. Cancellation stops future charges according to the plan and Paddle billing cycle in effect. Refunds for paid subscriptions, when available, are handled through Paddle's buyer process and Margain support. Trial access is free for the trial period described in the product; unused trial time is not converted to a cash refund.
Your data
How Margain handles personal and business data is described in our Privacy Policy. While your workspace is active, organization owners and admins can export core records as described there.
Acceptable use
Use Margain only for lawful business purposes. Do not attempt unauthorized access, abuse the product or its APIs, or use Margain in a way that violates the terms of connected providers such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Meta, Stripe, or Google.
Suspension and termination
Margain may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, abuse the service, create security or legal risk, or fail to pay for a paid plan when charges apply. You may stop using the service at any time. After termination, access to the workspace ends. Export and deletion paths are described in the Privacy Policy and GDPR pages.
Service changes
Because Margain is in beta, features, limits, availability, and these terms may change as the product matures. We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
Margain is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, especially while the product is in beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margain disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that synced data from third-party platforms will always be complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margain is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for losses arising from third-party platforms, network issues, or data you import or connect. Margain's total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Margain for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) zero if you used only free or trial access. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitation applies to the maximum extent allowed.
Disputes
If you have a concern about Margain, contact support@margain.app first so we can try to resolve it directly. Payment disputes for purchases processed by Paddle should also follow Paddle's buyer support process.
